About me

Hey there,

I’m Christine, a copywriter and editor with over 10 years of experience in the health and wellness space. You can call me a bit of a health nut. I love nothing more than to sip on a matcha latte and read about nutrition, self-development, psychology and spirituality (must be an INFJ trait!).

I’ve written for publications and websites including Prevention, Body + Soul, WellBeing, Yahoo! Health & Wellbeing, Digital Wellness, The Healthy Chef, BioCeuticals and more.

I believe words hold power. The words we choose and how we choose to use them matter. They can create connections, inspire action, give us hope, and can even seep into our psyche, helping us to reach our goals and dreams. I would even say, words are magic.

I’m passionate about using words as a force for good; using them to educate, empower, heal or bring about positive change (personally, books by Deepak Chopra, Kimberly Snyder, Dr Brian Weiss and other inspirational authors have made an impact on me and inspires my work today).

So, if you’re a health and wellness brand or a heart-centred business that needs help communicating your value or connecting to your audience, I’d love to hear from you.

More on my story… (and why I love health so much)

My health journey started years ago when I was still quite fresh out of my media degree and working for a mind, body and spirit publisher. My colleague at the time commented on a tub of strawberry yoghurt I was about to enjoy.

“What’s in that? It’s full of chemicals and sugar,” she said.

At the time, her comment seemed completely foreign to me. Yoghurt is yoghurt. It must be healthy, right? Aren’t all yoghurts the same? I never imagined there were any nasties added to what I perceived was otherwise ‘healthy’ food. I just ate completely for my tastebuds!

Back then, because of my lack of nutritional knowledge, I was completely unaware of the subtle signs my body was crying for help: I suffered from severe PMS, cystic acne, and lethargy. When I was stressed, my body would break out with psoriasis.

Looking back, it wasn’t just the food I was eating – stress, not exercising enough (or too much!) and other factors contributed to my less-than-amazing health.

It’s taken me some time to make the connection between my food, lifestyle choices and my health, but I’m grateful for the experience as it’s drawn me towards writing content for various health and wellness brands and websites that I love, and completing a certificate in Nutritional Medicine.

So aside from my fondness for reading up on all things wellness, I equally love to write about it. As a quote I stumbled on long ago puts it, “There is no drug that can do for you what eating well, moving your body, self-love and mindfulness can.”

Thanks for stopping by!
